1. What is the difference between student officers and delegates (participants)? (Show/hide details)
The student officers go through a rigorous training program before the actual event in order to moderate the debate at Korea Model G20 conference. Student officer registration has ended on April 2nd and we already have 30 student officers.
Delegates or participants, take on roles as representatives from each G20 member states or other related organizations to discuss the global issues on the G20¡¯s agenda. Participants research, make speeches, write declarations, negotiate with other member states, and debate to investigate international issues and perform the parliamentary rules of procedure of G20.
Delegate registration starts from May 17th and you could register at our homepage. Registration period and fees are detailed at 'Fees & Periods' menu at the left side of our homepage. Since all of Korea Model G20 committee sessions are conducted in English, it is true that some level of English skill is required from participants. However, this does not mean participants have to be very fluent in English in order to participate. If the participants are capable of understanding the flow of debate and expressing their ideas in English, they could participate in Korea Model G20 conference with no difficulties. We do not have an objective standard in accepting participants to be part of this conference and it is solely up to the participant to decide. Also, to successfully participate in our conference, thorough research and enthusiasm are more required than high English skills.
3. What is the difference between experienced programme and standard programme?

Committees of Korea Model G20 conference will be divided into experienced programme and standard programme. Committees of the experienced programme will be aiming for students who have participated in MUN conferences relatively more than other participants and are familiar with the rules of procedure. In the experienced programme, one participant will be representing one delegation and they will be selected by their essays and CVs that they have wrote during the registration process. Participants who have applied for the experienced programme but did not get assigned in the experienced programme will be automatically assigned to the standard programme.
The standard programme is targeted toward participants with few or no MUN experiences. In the standard programme, two participants will be representing one delegation. (double delegation system)

Korea Model G20 conference receives first 500 participants (payment order) starting from May 17th. You are allowed to register only through our homepage (no phone or e-mail registration) after you make an ID and sign in.
Specific registration process is shown below:
¨ç After signing in at our homepage, click ¡®Your registration¡¯ menu, then, select either ¡®Standard Programme registration¡¯ or ¡®Experienced Programme registration¡¯. A registration page will appear. Registration page is only provided in English.
¨è Enter your personal information on the registration page.

*Participants who residence is registered as ¡®Seoul¡¯ cannot apply for accommodation. (Please refer to ourAccommodation¡¯ menu)
*Accommodation fee (30,000 KRW) is separate from our registration fee. Please pay both the fees at the same time.
¨é Enter the committee and the delegation of you preference from your top to third choice.

*Please check whether your committee is in High School Programme or University Programme.
*If this section is left blank, your committee and delegation will be assigned randomly.
*If your preference differs with your teammate, your committee and delegation will be assigned randomly.
¨ê Fill in the Essay, Documentation section.
*All contents in the Essay and CV (curriculum vitae) section must be written in English.
*Essay and CVs are mandatory for Experienced Programmes and optional for Standard Programmes.
*Committee and delegation preference often overlaps among participants, thus committees and delegations are assigned through careful evaluation of Essays, CVs, and the preference of the participants.

If you have not filled in mandatory sections a warning sign will appear in red, reading ¡®NOT ENTERED/NOT SELECTED¡¯. The ¡®REGISTER NOW!¡¯ icon will be inactive. Click ¡®GO BACK AND REVISE¡¯ to fill in the missing information.

If you have filled in all the mandatory information, the ¡®REGISTER NOW!¡¯ icon will become active. Please be careful when clicking this icon because you cannot revise any of the information after clicking it. If you wish to revise any of the information please click ¡®GO BACK AND REVISE¡¯.

After the above process, your registration will be fully complete after you pay the registration fees with the name you have registered.

In Korea Model G20 conference, participants¡¯ registration state will be checked manually by our secretariat. Thus, if your payment is unchecked your registration state will remain ¡®unpaid¡¯. After the secretariat confirms your payment it will change to ¡®Received¡¯.
Your committee, delegation, and accommodation will be assigned within a week after each registration period is over. In other words, as for early registration participants, you will be able to check your committee, delegation, and accommodation after May 30th. For regular registration participants, you will be able to check your information after June 27th. For late registration participants, committee and delegation are assigned at any time after the registration. Accommodation is not granted for late registration participants.

Double delegation means that two participants are representing one delegation. In the standard programme of Korea Model G20 conference, participants will be assigned by this double delegation system.
6. Do participants have to register as an individual or as a team? (Show/hide details)
In principle, Korea Model G20 follows individual registration system. However, as for the standard programme, it is up to the participant to decide whether to register as an individual or as a team. Participants may organize a team before the registration. If the participant does not speficy his/her teammate, the secretariat will randomly assign the participant's teammate for them.
*Participants do not have to attend the same school to organize a team.
*If you have already organized a team before the registration, please write your team member¡¯s ID and name in the ¡®teammate¡¯ section during the registration process. Both members of the team have to write their teammate¡¯s ID and name.
*If you have a teammate but do not have the same country and committee preference with your teammate, you will be assigned randomly.
7. Do participants receive any form of certificates for attending Korea Model G20? (Show/hide details)*Participants do not have to attend the same school to organize a team.
*If you have already organized a team before the registration, please write your team member¡¯s ID and name in the ¡®teammate¡¯ section during the registration process. Both members of the team have to write their teammate¡¯s ID and name.
*If you have a teammate but do not have the same country and committee preference with your teammate, you will be assigned randomly.
Korea Model G20 conference provides certificate of participation to participants who have attended more than two thirds of the whole committee sessions. There will be seven sessions in total (plenary session not included) so participants who have attended minimum five sessions can receive the certificates.
8. What do participants have to prepare for the conference after the registration? (Show/hide details)
After the registration and committee/country assignment is done, participants have to submit a position paper detailing assigned country¡¯s position on the given agenda. Further explanation on the position papers will be specified at our homepage after the registration. Also, we will be preparing a delegate orientation in order to provide all participants with overall information of Model G20 and the rules of procedure. Participants will be able to gather helpful information from our delegate orientation. More detailed information about the delegate orientation will also be updated at our homepage. In addition, student officers will be providing participants with ¡®Research Guide (Agenda paper)¡¯ to help them out. Research guides will be updated in early July.
9. How many position papers do participants have to write? (Show/hide details)
Delegates are only required to submit one position paper per delegation on a single agenda(Participants who are assigned to a team mate only need to submit one position paper as a team). Participants are not required to write your position paper on both agendas. Please refer to "How to write a Position Paper" on our document library section.
10. Is there a dress code? (Show/hide details)
The standard dress code at Korea Model G20 is ¡°Western business clothing.¡± This means formal attire. ¡°Casual¡± attire will not be accepted. The dress code will be strictly enforced, and delegates not in proper attire will not be allowed to enter the Committee Chambers until the condition is suitably rectified. Remember that you are an ambassador of your country, sent as a diplomat to an international organization of great importance.
For Men The following list outlines our suggestions for your dress code.
-Top: Dress shirt, neatly buttoned and well‐ironed (short-sleeve allowed)
-Suit jacket or blazer, with a conservative choice of color (mandatory, but may be taken off in the conference chamber)
-Tie (mandatory)
-Bottom: black, grey, navy allowed
-Dress shoes, polished.
For Women
The following list outlines our suggestions for your dress code.
-Top: Dress shirt, blouse with collar
-Jacket or blazer (mandatory, but may be taken off in the committee chamber)
