Need-Based Financial Aid

Need-based financial aid is intended to help students from backgrounds of limited means. This is not a merit-based scholarship; your Model UN, Model G20, and/or any other Model Simulation programme experience or acadmeic background will not be considered.

To apply for need-based financial aid, download the appropriate form by clicking here, and follow the directions contained in the form.

Please send us your financial aid application after you have deposited the full registration fee. After confirming your deposit and your financial aid application, we will evaluate your application and contact you as soon as the evaluation process is over. Only those applications that are sent before the end of the regular registration period (postmark date) will be considered for financial aid. After the application evaluation is over, your fees will be returned to your account.

Merit-Based Financial Aid

Delegates are able to apply for scholarship only via email. (See the Contact page for the address)
Please have your email with a title [APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIP: (your name in English), (your name in Korean), (name of the scholarship)] Your application for scholarship should be before the Regular registration periods ends. No delegate may be offered two or more scholarships.
The Merit-based scholarship requires you 1) to submit a CV and 2) write an essay, in English (minimum of 1,000 words and maximum of 2000 words). The essay question is:
"Why should you be granted the scholarship?"
The scholarships are divided as follows:
Free-for-all Plan(All High Schools including Foreign Language High Schools, International Schools, Special Purpose Schools & University)
This endowment is awarded to any delegate, either in high school or in university, who shows exceptional dedication, talent, and passion, at both curricular and extra-curricular activities, and demonstrates an impressive capacity and willingness to contribute to the development and growth of KMUN.
*25~75 % of the registration fee will be granted.

University Plan
This Plan is intended to support the participation by committed university students. Those attending or taking time off from college as of 1 July 2010 are eligible for scholarship.

High School Plan(except Foreign Language High schools & International Schools)
This plan is to support high school students who are not in a foreign language high school, international/foreign school, or a special-purpose school, and attend an ordinary public or private school in the Korean domestic education system.
*25~75 % of the registration fee will be granted.

*Scholarships will be paid after all the registration processes are done. The difference in amount (with the registration fee) will be delivered to the account of the depositor.

Siblings Endownment

This Plan is intended to support the participants with siblings who are also attending Korea Model G20. This special endowment allows 25% discount from the total fee. The requirement for this endowment is a document proving family relations. Please send the aforementioned documentation to the following address postmarked before the end of the REGULAR registration period.
