ExperiencedHistorical G20 II (Show/hide details)
The committee of historical G20 is a special committee that will simulate situations that had occurred during the previous sessions of the G20 summits. Delegates will be assigned in positions of previous situations of the G20 meetings and they will be asked to perform as ambassadors of their nations at the time of the session. For example, if the situation is the last global financial crisis of 2008~2009, the committee will require all delegates to return to that period and act as leaders of the time to design solutions to get through the crisis and create plans to prevent crisis from happening in the near future. Several situations will be given, and the delegates will be judged on how well they represent their nations¡¯ stance of the era. This will require the participants to understand their nations¡¯ stance of the past and the present and incorporate it in today¡¯s international decision making process.

Topics
A. 2008 November 15th -Combating the financial crisis and stabilizing exchange rate
The purpose of this agenda is to investigate the cause of the financial crisis and to set realistic goals to overcome it. In the aftermath of the 2007 financial crisis, G20 members gathered to discuss measures, policies, and reformation to combat problems such as rising unemployment and fluctuating exchange rates. Just like the discussions that took place in Washington, we expect HG20 committee to come up with solutions that could be as fruitful as that of Washington's.
B. 2008 November 15th -Proliferation of multilateral trade, reduction of trade barriers
Multilateral trade and reduction of trade barriers are one of the main priorities of G20. In the Washington Summit meeting it was emphasized that although the global economy faces recession, protectionism should be not allowed. Thus, through this agenda the committee should discuss how to promote free trade in the midst of the financial crisis.

Financial Institutions - IMF II, III (Show/hide details)
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an international financial institution that promotes international financial cooperation, especially in maintaining exchange rate and balance of payment stability of its 186 member states. Its purpose is to reduce poverty through financial assistance. The international community has experienced a global scale financial crisis during 2008-2009 but was able to avoid the worst predictions made by economists and the world is now in a slow process of recovery. International Press Corps (Show/hide details)
The International Press Corps is not a committee in the MUN sense. It provides participants a chance to play the role of the journalists in the lively international diplomatic stage. Participants will attend press conferences (given by the Secretariat, or possibly a delegate, or a committee) and circulate news articles throughout the conference. Participants will ask delegates for interviews, or sit in on a committee session to report on its progress. You will report in line with the reporting tendencies of your news agency. As with realistic journalism, the committee may decide to go into closed session and expel you: but that should not stop the resourceful journalist from getting the job done!
